MUSIC ABROAD

There is no greater passion than the shared love of music to bring people together in peace and friendship.

Nothing is more exciting than using music to promote international friendship and GUY HEALY, JAPAN is very proud to have organized two wonderful Music tours, both of which received a great deal of media attention.

2000 "NICHIIBEI JAM" JAPAN TOUR (featuring The Janet Planet Trio)

American jazz vocalist Janet Planet, saxophonist Tom Washatka and guitarist Tom Theabo visited Nagasaki Prefecture where they performed with the Japanese band Harbor Lights at a number of venues. The friendship tour culminated with the formation of the "Nagasaki/Fox Valley Musicians Fraternity" to promote more future music exchanges between Nagasaki and the Fox Valley in Wisconsin.

1993 NEW ORLEANS JAZZ GOODWILL TOUR (featuring Harbor Lights)

Nagasaki jazz band Harbor Lights visited the birthplace of jazz New Orleans, where they performed at a number of venues including The New Orleans Jazz Festival. This goodwill tour to promote friendship between the United States and Japan received a great deal of media attention and was featured in the television documentary "Play Over the Sea!"

GHJ plans to organize future music tours to promote international friendship, however we are not an entertainment-booking agency and these projects are primarily done as non-profit goodwill tours in cooperation with the artists involved.
