Welcome to Guy Healy, Japan.  We are an international education and exchange consulting company with offices in Fukuoka and Nagasaki, Japan.  Our mission is to promote international friendship and cooperation by bringing the peoples of Japan and English-speaking countries together both in Japan and abroad.  We run a variety of programs in Japan and the United States, including:

2009 USA SUMMER CAMP

Dear Counselors,

Apologies for the problems we have been having with our website editing and webmail. We are using as a backup email address. We ask that you use that address for all communications regarding USA Summer Camp.

Team Placements: If you have not yet received your team placement you should receive it by April 30. If you do not, please contact us right away by email.

Alternate Selections: We are adding several new counselors on April 30 and we have been getting a lot of new session requests from Japan Travel Bureau so we expect to add many of you on our alternate list.

Air Ticketing: Our agent in California has began work on air ticketing but this can be a long process for such a large group. Before seats are confirmed, you will receive a message from us to confirm your final itinerary. Those should be out by mid-May.

ENG is an exciting new program for teaching English in Japan.  We put three native speakers in a classroom once a week and give the teachers and the students an exciting curriculum.  Our teachers are interns from the United States , most of whom are seeking a degree in teaching and want to use this internship (ENG) as their practicum.  Our teachers all have teaching experience and are well-trained in the ENG model and curriculum before they step into the classroom.

To our teachers, Guy Healy, Japan provides:

• round-trip airfare and transportation to the target city in Japan
• housing (usually provided by the school, usually a host family)
• training
• a curriculum
• living support in Japan
• placement in a school in Japan
• coordination with the intern's home school, if necessary
